Activity 1: Simulation of exoplanet detection using the transit method
The students first built the model that will simulate the transit of a planet in front of its star.
Then, using their smartphones, the pupils made several acquisitions.
Different curves showing the variations in luminosity as a function of time.
A decrease in brightness can be observed when the wooden sphere (planet) passes between the smartphone (Earth) and the lamp (star).
