Project 1: Research and build a sundial
Step 1: Research and examine the principle and the workings of a sundial.
​
Step 2: Investigate how you can build a sundial and make a plan.
​
Step 3: Build a sundial and make a clip or pictures describing the process.
These were the instructions given to our pupils and many of them had satisfying though very different results:
Some think small… Paper plate and wooden skewer…
Others think practical… It’s what we call the ‘use what you have’ approach…
